I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. I Corinthians 1:4-6
As I sit looking out my office window at the sun shining down from above, I am thankful that God loves me. And, I know that I don’t deserve it, but He loves me anyway.
Not because of who I am, but because of who He is. Because He sees me through the covering of His son, Jesus.
Today, I am thankful that His grace is sufficient for me. (II Corinthians 12:9) and He is made strong through my weakness.
I bow down and I cry out for Him. That I might love Him more, might worship Him more and that I might bring glory to Him through the things I say and do.
I can’t live without Him. Each step I take requires His guidance. Each word I speak needs His blessing because otherwise I am nothing.
So, today, I am thankful for His love and I am thankful during this season of Lent for more time to spend talking with my Jesus. And I am thankful that my children and now my grandson see the love of God in me every day.
It doesn’t matter what they do or where they go. I love them unconditionally. And if this is one tenth the love God feels for me…
Then thankful doesn’t even begin to describe it.
