Grace by the Book

Easter is over.

April is here.

New life is budding out everywhere.

The trees are green, the roses  and azaleas are in full bloom.IMG_20110417_175003

It’s easy to move on from the message of Easter when life comes calling.

Don’t forget, though, that the message of Easter is as true today as it was on Sunday.dgp2013_w13

The Hosanna of the resurrection should burst forth from our mouths as should the chorus “He is Risen. He is risen indeed.”

Live grace. Live hope. See the extraordinary in the everyday.

Be Jesus to those you know and those you don’t.

Keep Easter alive by speaking praise.

Worship the Lord who created the beauty you see.

Slow down and “Be still.” Psalm 46:10.

Love as Jesus loved. Not because someone deserves it, but because He commands it.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”John 13:34-35IMG_20110626_081646

Remember that being a Christian is more than an emotion, it is a devotion to the Son of God who came, who died and who is risen.

‘As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so continue to live in him.  Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always be thankful.  Be sure that no one leads you away with false and empty teaching that is only human, which comes from the ruling spirits of this world, and not from Christ.” Colossians 2:6-826
