Grace for the Weekend

It’s a beautiful, cool, clear morning outside my window in Florida.

The voice from Psalm rings in my ears:

“This is the day the Lord has made. I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.”

Today I am looking forward to church with my children, lunch with my family and a nice long bike ride. 26DSC00710DSC00089

Days like this are gifts from God.

Wherever you go and whatever you do today, my friends, take time to praise the one whose grace makes our lives possible.

Thank you Lord that your “mercies are new every morning.”

Grace for the Weekend – Rest

We made it to the weekend! Praise God!

Whatever you do and wherever the road takes you, may God give you rest and may you be rejuvenated for the week ahead.

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24DSC00094DSC00086IMG_1104DSC00055You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you.  Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:28-29.P1020359315076_159025474178366_7403005_nFind time first for God.

Pursue Him with passion.

Enjoy your family and friends.

Worship with them.

Play with them.

Love them without reservation.

Living the Gifts of Christmas – Fruit of the Spirit/Patience

This week I am focusing on patience.

And boy to I need to!

Having it.

Exhibiting it to others.

I’ve never been good at waiting. But, I know, to receive God’s best I have to wait.

So, I’m trying.

Then I came across this picture on a friend’s facebook wall.64777_10200834413613320_1029837592_n

And, I’m speechless. Thanks, Deb.

Hello world!

Have you ever stopped to think about how many times a day and in how many ways God shows His unending, unconditional love for you? At our house, we call those moments “God Things” and this blog will be my attempt to document those events as they occur, to recount those that have happened and to allow you to share with me the things in your life that you tried to explain away and that you know can only be “God Things”. Most of the time they aren’t big, they are just outward demonstrations of God’s grace. His constant love and presence in our lives that get us through the day. So please stop by from time to time to read my musings, check out new photos that reflect His grace in the world and above all to share His grace in your life daily.

God’s grace is all around us. Join me as we see it in the everyday.

In His Grace,

St. George Island, Florida at Sunset
